I have had the pleasure of walking the length of the Storm King Wall. It is an astounding piece of work.
Also, since I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, I have many times seen his work at the entrance to the De Young Museum -- a series of cracks in the entryway. See sfciviccenter.blogspot.com/2006/02/de-young-museum-1-earthquake-crack.html for photos. Remarkable work.
For these two works, the museum entrance and the Storm King Wall, no, they're not photoshopped!!!

True to form = an artist's thinking is outside the box and brings a smile to the Creator . . . Good job Andy, find me - inspired!

By far the best artist I've ever seen.

I did a report on Andy Goldsworthy a few days ago actually...

Irene | 1 Feb 2009 - 00:17
Wow, awesome! smile

desertflower | 31 Jan 2009 - 13:38
This is ART...no matter how it is accomplished...one can sit back and enjoy and feel these pictures for what they are....ART.
Very satisfying to the eye; wonderful textures, colors and mediums. Kudos to the artist, NOT the poster!

paolo | 31 Jan 2009 - 01:45
wassatwassatThis is for me a fanastic moment!I found another person that want make something to reconnect humanity to the world!I hope to collaborate with thi artist!

alllenscot | 29 Jan 2009 - 22:40
incredible stuff!!!

Mark | 29 Jan 2009 - 21:10
This is pretty damn amazing! Visual and constructive artists, true artists that is, astound me especially since I know that I can never do what they do. I do wish there was a credit given at the beginning of this post. Thanks to all here for crediting Goldsworthy. I'll have to look into his work more.

Oh, and Matthew, concrete is as natural a material as bread. It's made up of three basic ingredients gravel, sand and water. Give the Romans their due.

colette | 29 Jan 2009 - 18:32
credit the artist. andy goldsworthy.

lawn | 29 Jan 2009 - 15:38
Really amazing. The creature of this piece of art has a creative and very intelligent person. Andy is the best! Give credit to him.

Cindy Shepard | 29 Jan 2009 - 15:08

cereal | 29 Jan 2009 - 13:29

Ben | 29 Jan 2009 - 12:15
I had to study this artist for year 11 and 12 art, and i love his work. it's just so good.

luminous | 29 Jan 2009 - 10:50
Andy Goldsworthy is an amazing artist ..the documentary Rivers and Tides was enchanting

jerkface | 29 Jan 2009 - 10:45
To the poster who said it was self indulgent... Art often is. what have you built lately?

Michelle M. | 29 Jan 2009 - 10:37
Screw all of you that are still convinced this is photoshopped. Sorry, but people actually do have talent in this world and Goldsworthy is one of them. He needs to be given credit so iggnorant people can stop saying it is "shopped".

anon | 29 Jan 2009 - 10:08
haha "shopped" ....No human could do something that good, it's obviously fake.

Andy Goldsworthy is an amazing artist, it's great to see that enough people know about him that an uncredited post such as this can generate enough righteous anger and due credit.

Doug | 29 Jan 2009 - 10:06
Not only have you not credited the artist, Andy Goldsworthy, you have the cheek to imprint all the images with your own web address. That stinks. The images and the original work are wonderful. You should either credit and apologise or withdraw.

anon | 29 Jan 2009 - 09:45
SHOPPED!!!

mooph | 29 Jan 2009 - 08:38
"Use" is stretching it a bit. More like artistic masturbation.

I like it ... but it's still pretty self-indulgent. wink

Matthew | 29 Jan 2009 - 07:36
If the category was man made objects from natural objects, I am surprised there aren't photos of the pyramids and Greek ruins (the Romans would be out for the most part because they used cement) as well as those of the Central and South American stone builders.

Chris | 29 Jan 2009 - 07:35
I honestly think andy really doesnt give a crap about a blogger not crediting him. If youre and artist you understand.

CR | 29 Jan 2009 - 07:19
Agreeing with everyone else here...there's nothing worse than blatantly ignorant blogger. Credit your work, son!

r0r | 29 Jan 2009 - 06:14
I love Any's work, I hate whoever it was who gathered all the images, bunged them together, and didn't even bother to credit the orignal artist. Where's the point? Collecting pictures and being a cunt takes little effort, balancing rocks and the other incredible things he does takes a LOT of work, and I mean actual work, not blog shit. Fuck man, where's it all go so wrong, why can't people understand sourcing or crediting these days?

youhoo | 29 Jan 2009 - 06:14
Andy Goldsworthy is the tits...still

Eric | 29 Jan 2009 - 06:03
Yeah, seriously, give credit for this to Andy Goldsworthy. It's not enough that his name has been mentioned a million times in the comments, here. angry

Anybody else interested in Andy Goldsworthy's work, please watch the documentary film, "Rivers and Tides."

Dave M | 29 Jan 2009 - 05:03
No crop circle?

metholustusius | 29 Jan 2009 - 04:51
reiteration
creedit andy goldsworthy, prick

Kat | 29 Jan 2009 - 04:28
Seriously. Credit Andy Goldsworthy. I recognized this work at once as his, yet his name is not mentioned on this page. I know I'm not the first person to whine about this, but still...

Elizabeth | 29 Jan 2009 - 04:27
I love the arch that is, I think, third or fourth from the top. It is earthy, graceful, and inspirational.

maggie | 29 Jan 2009 - 03:34
the best thing is that they are so "simple " you believe you could create something similar but of course one can not. This is so very impressive and truly inspiring. I especially like the whole thing, lol..

Gill M> | 29 Jan 2009 - 02:15
brilliant, it makes you think 'art just can't go back to the drawing board'.

hd | 29 Jan 2009 - 02:02
I agree with the poster about credits. Please credit Goldsworthy here. Otherwise, they're completely out of an important significant context.

anonymous | 29 Jan 2009 - 00:03
man: they're by andy goldsworthy.
as a side note, you should:
a) credit any work you repost on the internet that is not your own
&
b) recognize good work when you see it and not reproduce pathetically small, low quality pics. they are meant to be large so you can appreciate his enormous talent.

Mehreen | 28 Jan 2009 - 23:55
amazing! smile
